The passionate leaders, educators, coaches, and mentors behind Nashia's mission.

Jannatul Firdous, PhD
A scientist, educator, and community leader, Dr. Firdous holds a PhD in Immunology and Vaccine Research from Seoul National University, with research experience at Harvard Medical School, Precigen, and Sanofi. Before her doctoral journey, she taught high school science for over three years. A certified ACERA STEAM educator and planner, she has volunteered as a judge at the MSEF Middle School Science Fair (2025 & 2026). She founded Nashia to integrate strong character and values with STEAM education — inspiring children to become confident, curious, and compassionate contributors to society.

Mohammad Ariful Islam, PhD
A scientific leader, team builder, and community advocate, Dr. Islam holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Seoul National University and brings extensive experience in biotechnology, mRNA therapeutics, and vaccine development from Harvard Medical School, MIT, Immunomic Therapeutics, GreenLight Biosciences, and Sanofi. As Nashia's scientific and strategic advisor, he is dedicated to developing STEAM-inspired youth and professionals, and to training the coaches and volunteers who bring our mission to life.

Sirajum Munira Sarwar, PhD
Dr. Sirajum is an internationally recognized finance educator and researcher with over two decades of global academic experience. An Assistant Professor of Finance at Graceland University, she is passionate about empowering others through financial literacy, ethical leadership, and community engagement — bringing a rare blend of academic excellence and real-world insight to Nashia.

Muhammad R. Haque, PhD
Dr. Haque oversees operations and communications for our educational programs, drawing on a background in biomedical science and a strong foundation in scientific inquiry. He brings a genuine love of teaching to his work and leads recruiting and onboarding for our Summer STEAM Program, building teams dedicated to nurturing young minds.

Mohua Sultana
Mohua is a business entrepreneur and MBA candidate in Leadership & Sustainability at the University of Cumbria, with a talent for building ventures from the ground up. A certified ACERA STEAM educator and planner, she serves Nashia by leading governance, compliance, community engagement, and organizational partnerships.
Sarra Labed
Sarra completed medical school in Algeria and earned her teaching certification in the USA. A certified ACERA STEAM educator and planner, she has served as a teacher at The Islamic Academy for Peace and leads the Al Kuttab program at the Andover Islamic Center. At Nashia, she serves as a consultant for school development and pedagogy.

Shamsad Firdous
Shamsad brings 9+ years of experience in strategic communications and digital brand management, combining design thinking with emerging AI tools to craft human-centered content strategies. She has led communication and audience-engagement campaigns across the USA, South Korea, Norway, and Bangladesh, and holds a Master's in Landscape Architecture from Seoul National University.

Kohinoor Begum
Kohinoor holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) and an LLB, and served as a senior teacher at BMHM School in Doha, Qatar. CPR, BLS, and First Aid certified, she contributed articles to print magazines during her academic years and served as Student Welfare Coordinator at Nashia Summer Camp 2025.

Sabrina Abedin
Sabrina is pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UMass Lowell and brings four years of experience as a university lecturer. Her technical skillset spans C++, MATLAB, circuit analysis, and automation, and she is driven by a heartfelt commitment to give back to her community as an inspiring mentor guiding students through modern STEM concepts.

Aiysha Riaz
Aiysha is a neuroscience student at Boston University with more than five years of teaching and mentoring experience, including several years as a teaching assistant at Kumon for pre-K through kindergarten. Passionate about STEAM education, she served as an assistant coach for several STEAM activities at Nashia in 2025.

Muhammad Imaduddin Riaz
Imad is a rising senior at Andover High School with four years of teaching and mentoring experience as a Kumon teaching assistant. Passionate about computer science and robotics, he has competed in multiple hackathons and built independent projects. He serves as Lead Coach for Coding, Robotics, and Machine Learning.

Rumana Jisa
Rumana holds a BFA in Communication Design (Graphic Design) from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) and has professional experience as a Digital Marketing Lead. She loves working with children and has served as a coach at Nashia since Summer 2025.

Rayyan Siddiq
Rayyan is a high school student at Phillips Academy and a highly skilled soccer player who loves coaching and helping kids improve their game. With tutoring experience at Kumon and a talent for supporting international students, he serves Nashia as Lead Coach for soccer, machine learning, and supporting roles.

Tahmina Ania
Tahmina is a Support Engineer at Microsoft and a passionate landscape photographer. A Sony Alpha Female Microgrant winner (Photography Contest), she shares her craft with young learners as a guest lead coach at Nashia.

Linwood Herper
Linwood is passionate about enriching community kids through media. He serves as a coach at Acera School and trains new coaches, bringing his video-editing expertise to Nashia as a guest lead coach.
